A few words about bees

Bees existed on Earth 55-60 million years before the appearance of humans. And if you believe the scientific data, they have not undergone any external changes, therefore, today they appear before us in their original form. Bees live in families — but what kind of families are they! About 50-60 thousand bees live in one relatively small hive. This is a bee queen, several hundred drones and worker bees.

The honey bee is twice as long and heavier than the worker bees. Despite the genetic similarity, the difference between them in appearance is due to the fact that worker bees feed on royal jelly for only three days, while female bees feed for their entire lives. And they live at the same time for 6-8 years (whereas worker bees in the active period — only 45 days!). That's the power of royal jelly, which we'll talk about in detail later. The bee queen is engaged in reproduction of offspring. She lays 1,000 to 2,000 eggs per day, pausing only for food.

Interestingly, the mass of eggs laid per day is much higher than the mass of the bee itself. In total, she lays about 20 THOUSAND eggs per season: worker bees appear from the fertilized ones, drones from the unfertilized ones. However, with age, the fertility of the "bee mother" decreases. The drones in the hive have a single, but very important purpose.: they fertilize the uterus. Drones live for about three months, they feed on honey and pollen.

Depending on their age, various duties are assigned to the worker bees. First (for the first three days) they keep the hive clean, then they feed the larvae, make orientation flights and build hives. It is only on the 17th and 18th day of their life that worker bees begin flights to collect and deliver bee products. In addition, bees process nectar into honey, and pollen into parchment. And thanks to the efforts of the worker bees, the hive has an ideal climate and temperature.

Bees are equipped with a so-called stinging device to protect them from natural enemies. When bitten, the sting breaks off along with a part of the bee's body (while the venom continues to penetrate the wound, which significantly enhances the stinging effect). As I have already said, up to 60,000 bees live in the cramped space of the hive, and with such an accumulation, it would seem that they simply need good protection from microorganisms that are widespread everywhere in nature. And then the most interesting thing turns out: on the body of a bee, unlike all other insects, there are no microorganisms!

The antibiotic substances on the fleecy covering destroy 100% of the bacteria, and therefore the bee's body is sterile. The same antibiotic substances are found in honey, wax, royal jelly, pollen, bee venom and, of course, propolis. Perhaps, thanks to such perfect protection, bees have been preserved for millions of years. Lotto Salon Gier to wyjątkowe miejsce dla miłośników emocji i nowoczesnych automatów.
